Ron Krammes, who has worked for the Chillicothe parks department for 10 years, has been named director of parks and recreation. He will fill the vacancy of Ed Crawford who announced his resignation last year with plans to move out of state.

Chillicothe City Council members unanimously approved Krammes' appointment during an executive session Monday night. The action was kept confidential until today (Thursday).

Krammes currently serves as athletic facilities manager for the city and will take over his new position June 2.
